Jenn the Marmot sent me an email today, asking for a little assistance. I host her website, so this was a perfectly reasonable email to receive.
So, I’m going to be gone for a month and I thought I’d upload some info about emergency contacts for clients on my site. I shortened the URL using bit.ly to make it easier to email, but the formatting doesn’t seem to be working properly. It clicks through but it’s all wonky.
Can you please look at this and tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks!
Jenn
This is worse than a Rick Roll. It’s CHRISTMASIZED!
Funny (I bet), but this sort of thing is exactly why I don’t trust and never click shortened URLs. I can’t tell where I’m going or what will happen when I get there.
IBM recently published an emerging trends document in which the short URL phenomenon is described as a security disaster.
