So Nick’s birthday is Sunday. I have a wicked awesome birthday present for him that I can’t share yet, but I can share the one he’s already received.
So, it’s been said (by someone on Nick’s facebook wall, hehe) that if a girl receives flowers at the office, they also come with an invisible tiara and an invisible sash that say “I got flowers and you didn’t BITCHES!” I totally agree with this. But, if you buy flowers for a man, they tend to get ridicule. Actually, my experience is that if you buy flowers for anyone who works in a male-dominated office, you get ribbed pretty hard for flowers. (Says she who has received flowers in male-dominated offices before. Oh, the ribbing… was still worth it, though. hee.)
Anyway, I have found the man equivalent that minimizes both ribbing and dead flowers: Cookies. So this morning, I had a lovely box of cookies delivered to Nick’s office.
It still comes with the invisible tiara & sash, though. Also, with cookies. Because you can’t eat flowers.
Highly recommended, btw. Apparently the cookies were even tasty.
