We ducked out of our agility class early last night. ALL of the dogs were being wiggy (the weather was bizarre, looked like a storm was incoming), and Justice’s wiggy is wiggy-er than most, so … yeah. Not a good space. She wasn’t calming down at all, wasn’t listening to me, and was right on the edge of losing her shit from the second we walked in. Not a good learning place, and not helpful to anyone else. Even the usually placid miniature dachshund started barking at Justice right off the bat before J even noticed she was there.
Too bad, because it was teeter-totter day. There are no bloody teeter-totters anywhere in Vancouver that I can tell, how the heck do we practice this outside of class? Hmm. Anybody seen a teeter-totter? Have they all been taken down for so-called “safety” reasons? C’mon, what’s a little cracked skull between friends? If you haven’t have the wind knocked out of you seventeen times before lunch, you’re just not trying hard enough.
