Damn, I’m sorry Donna/Nick. We’ve been contacting everyone we know at EAX and trying to see who made it. Most people didn’t :( Keep your heads up – I’m sure there’s another job for him in the industry!

Yeah – we’ve been there, eh, Donna. Just when things look good, they go to crap in one form or another. I had hoped to give you a shout this past weekend when I was in Vancouver (was also hoping to buy you and Nick a drink for your web site help), but too much to do and too little time. Wish Nick best of luck, and both of you better times ahead.
Ivan: Tell me about it! Hell, at least we had individual layoffs — they just got everybody into a big room, took attendance (that’s never a good sign) then gave them the “Oh, by the way, everybody in this room is now unemployed” speech… (while all of the kept employees had a separate meeting, with the “oh, by the way, everybody not in this room is now unemployed…” speech.)
But yeah, seems familiar… and, just like when it was Telus, I’m suggesting that Nick take HEAVY ADVANTAGE of his extended health while he still has it. Anybody know how to get a prescription for hookers & blow? (Although conveniently, it runs out at the same time that he’ll be eligible to be covered under mine. Go figure.)
UGH. That totally sucks ass. :( Thankfully, he’s in an industry that is always looking for talent. Was he at EAX or EA? (I heard the downtown office took the brunt of the layoffs)
