I’ve tried a few methods so far — tapping, massaging, and a “blink really fast” program, too…

so far, no dice. But I haven’t given up yet. :)

And so far… it’s not bugging me too much. Excellent.

I had the same problem with the monitor I’m using right now. I fixed it by driving my fingernail into the monitor in the offending spot while it’s off (note the location before you turn it off, duh). Then turn it back on while said fingernail is still in the screen. Worked like a charm! Now my only problem is a fingernail shaped gouge in the monitor (kidding).

Actually, in terms of your post title, don’t you know that the green pixel is “watching you.” Paranoia is real when the green pixel pixies are plotting against you. And, they might try to influence your Warcraft sessions. ;-)

Can’t you make the neon green dot into a less bothersome black dot with a bit of black felt pen? Works on my car when the check engine light comes on….ok, I’m kidding.
