It’s showtime, synergy!
I am truly, truly, truly outrageous. Aw yeah.
So, tonight I learned that I will never specialize in endocrinology. It’s a combination of both Fucking Cool and … jesus christ, how the hell do you pronounce THAT?
I was super tired for the first half of the class. No idea why, but had a hard time staying awake. Grabbed a drink at the [...]
So, on Monday, Nick asked if I was doing anything on Wednesday night. Well, it’s my usual study night, but other than that… no. So he asked me to set some time aside as he had plans for us. Alrighty then.
So I picked him up from work and we wandered along Granville St as I [...]
It’s been an interesting morning at work. I won’t go into it, but let’s just say that I don’t like it when that much negativity is aimed at me, although it’s pretty awesome when I have the employer-sanctioned go ahead to not give in to ridiculousness.
So instead, I’m focusing on the awesome. Like Lori’s [...]
I learned something last night: I learn much better with examples of what can go wrong, as opposed to simply how things work when they’re right. More interesting is that I’ve known someone with every one of the example diseases she’s brought up — celiacs, crohns, psoriasis, arthritis, diabetes…
My prof likes to give examples [...]

Actually, I’m cautiously optimistic. I think the midterm went well.
I definitely should have studied tissue more, but I think I rocked basic anatomy and surprisingly, cellular structure. Out of 50 questions, there were 5 or 6 that were stabs in the dark, but they were at least educated guesses, generally narrowing it down to two [...]
I have a midterm on Thursday. I’m a little nervous, because it’s been a while since I had a midterm, and most of this is memorization. I’m generally okay with it, but … y’know, nervous.
Anyway, so Jenn was nice enough to help quiz me on body systems…
Marmot Phil says: here, let me quiz [...]
Nick is kind of hard person to shop for. If he wants something, he … goes and buys it. Or, it’s way out of my price range. He’s also not terribly fond of clutter, since we have extremely limited space, or "useful but boring" gifts like socks & underwear.
Yeah, that kind of narrows it [...]
