Well yeah, I did expect it. Didn’t make it any less annoying. :)
But you’re right, it was a good time to get rid of crap. I also ended up installing the Curse client, which did a brilliant job of finding updates for my add-ons and installing them for me. Many of them had already been updated for WoW 3.x. CT is still mostly broken, and having played a session that way I’m thinking it’s now one of those bits of cruft I can do without.

Well, you had to expect that your add-ons wouldn’t work. This is the expansion patch… add-ons all get broken at expansion patches.

I use this as a good time to clear out all the excess crap I’ve been carrying around and look for new, better addons. :)

I have the background downloader running to, but for some reason last night it said I had 1.2GB of stuff to download. I gave up and did other things (sacrilege!) Then started it downloading when I went to bed. It was all waiting for me when I got home from work today.
Now the suck: all my addons were disabled.
I “enabled all out-of-date addons”, but it appears a good many of them are broken. I wouldn’t mind so much, but with CT’s menu bar mods, the “latency” widget in th e main menu bar is now the height of my screen.

I’ve been getting stuff via the background downloader for weeks now. :)

That said, I set mine to download before I left for work this morning… and just set Nick’s to go so it’ll be ready when he gets home, too. :)

I got home from work all ready to start bashing things and discover I’ll have to wait 4 hours while it downloads a FREAKING 1.2 GIGBYTE patch!
Who comes up with these ideas? “Look, our latest content is coming out soon. Let’s make everyone download the Encyclopedia Britanica (unabridged) 10 times over). What? Feed them a volume a day for a month previous you say? Why that’s preposterous! Make them get it all at once! They all have gigabit Internet connections don’t they?”

Yeah, I moved recently too, which is why I didn’t get one. Of course, I move so bloody frequently that I’m not sure I’ve EVER received a card…

Because we moved, we didn’t get voters cards, despite our mail being forwarded. The website didn’t show our polling station. Blake called the main elections number and they didn’t have the info either. He had to phone the local elections office last night to get the info.
