Koi

This isn’t any sort of slag against them, since they’re generally really pretty…

…but why do so many people have koi fish tattoos?

    This may be too obvious of an answer: Because it’s the traditional Japanese tattoo.

    Koi represent endurance through transformation, which is linked to the transformation of your body in the course of getting a permament tattoo inked onto it. Well, that and maybe the transformation of joining the Yakuza, that’s just a guess.

    I would agree with Roger if it’s a certain kind of person.

    However if it’s another kind of person, I think the answer is more like, “OMG!1! B/C my BFF forever TOTALLY saw some random celebrity who had one? And I’m like totally NOT a sheep, but I like, NEED to be this person because s/he’s TOTALLY HOTTT!!!11!!!”
