Sometime in the near future, I’m taking my sister up to Cypress Mountain to learn to ski. Anybody want to come? Kids 3-5 get the lift, lesson & rental for $36.61. Adults are $43.40 for the day, plus $37.72 if you need a rental.
I think it’ll be fun.
Yeah, I know I said I’d boycott Cypress, but they’re cheaper and have the kids classes that I’m looking for. Meh. The other option is Grouse, and that gets Carol Ann a better lesson (3 hours instead of 1), but at triple the price. Drops the price of my lift ticket a bit, though. That’s handy. So, for the grouse option, $96 for the lift/lesson/rental for Carol Ann, + $36 for me. Regular lift tickets $45. (Aw heck, she had to turn 5 this week — LAST week, she would have only cost $73…)
The biggest downside is that it’d be on a weekend, since I work during the week. Mountains are chaotic on weekends. Still, should be fun, as long as Carol Ann doesn’t decide that she hates snow, hates chairlifts, hates skiing, and hates me by association. hee.
Anybody in? All levels welcome — other than during her lesson, when I’ll be racing off to get in as many runs as possible, we’ll be spending the day on the bunny hill.
